2. Data Collection and Storage
2.1 Visitor and User Information
We collect two types of information regarding our Visitors and Users:
1. Un-identified and non-identifiable information pertaining to a Visitor or un-identified User, which may be made available to us, or collected automatically via his/her use of the Services (“Non-personal Information”). Such Non-personal Information does not enable us to identify the Visitor or User from whom it was collected.
2. Individually identifiable information, namely information that identifies an individual or may with reasonable efforts cause the identification of an individual or may be of private or sensitive nature (“Personal Information”). The Personal Information collected by us mainly consists of contact details (e.g. e-mail address). At certain points in our internet services, you will be asked to provide personal data (for example, when ordering our newsletter) in forms. We need this information in order to fulfill your request. It remains your decision whether you provide this information.
2.2 How do we collect such information?
Every visit to the Ignitia website is stored in a log file. This log file exists solely to prevent the misuse of data and for the purposes of anonymous, statistical evaluation about the use of our internet services so that we may optimize our website. Your personal data will never be connected or compared with other data, rather it will always be used solely for the purpose you intend. If it is necessary to store data in order to fulfill your request, your information will be filed on a secure server. Data will not be stored longer than required to fulfill your request. We respect your privacy rights and provide you with reasonable access to the Personal Data that you may have provided through your use of the Services. If you wish to access or amend any other Personal data we hold about you, or to request that we delete any information we have obtained from an Integrated-Service, you may contact us as set forth in the “Contacting Us” section 7. At your request, we will have any reference to you deleted or blocked in our database. You may decline to share certain Personal Data with us, in which case we may not be able to provide to you some of the features and functionality of the Service. At any time, you may object to the processing of your Personal Data, on legitimate grounds, except if otherwise permitted by applicable law.
2.3 Why do we collect your data?
We collect such Non-personal and Personal Information for the following purposes:
To provide and operate the Services;
To further develop, customize and improve our Services, based on Visitors’ and Users’ common or personal preferences, experiences and difficulties;
To provide our Users with ongoing customer assistance and technical support;
To be able to contact our Visitors and Users with general or personalized service-related notices);
To create aggregated statistical data and other aggregated and/or inferred Non-personal Information, which we or our business partners may use to provide and improve our respective services;
To enhance our data security and fraud prevention capabilities;
To comply with any applicable laws and regulations.
We will only use your Personal Information for the following purposes:
our use of your Personal Information is necessary to comply with a relevant legal or regulatory obligation that we have, or
our use of your Personal Information is necessary to support legitimate interests that we have as a business (for example, to maintain and improve our Services by identifying user trends and technical issues), provided it is conducted at all times in a way that is proportionate, and that respects your privacy rights.
3. Transmission of Personal Data to Third Parties
Data collected from visits to Ignitia’s website and stored on log files are transmitted to third parties only when required by law or court decision, or in cases when attacks on the company’s internet infrastructure make it necessary to forward such data for purposes of legal action or criminal prosecution. We do not transmit data for other commercial or non-commercial purposes. We will use the personal information you enter solely for the purpose you intend; it will remain within Ignitia and will be shared only with the departments, offices and facilities relevant to your request. Data will not be transmitted to third parties for other purposes.
A cookie is a text file generated by the server and sent to the user's internet browser. Certain functions of the Ignitia website use session cookies. Session cookies store a series of numbers to identify the user (ID). The website server needs this ID, for example, in order to save sections of forms that you have already filled out. No other information concerning use shall be recorded. The session cookies ceases to be valid once you have sent the form, after four minutes of computer inactivity, or after you have closed the internet browser; the cookies are then automatically erased.
5. Use of E-Mail Addresses
At your request, we store your email address for the purposes of identification when fulfilling specific information services (such as newsletters). The addresses are encrypted when stored in a database. The database and the distribution lists are available only to the system administrator and cannot be accessed through the internet.
6. Links to other websites
Our internet presence contains links to websites operated by third parties. We have no influence on whether these parties observe data privacy regulations.
